Before shampooing, brush your hair thoroughly to remove tangles. Wet the hair and scalp completely with lukewarm water, then dispense an appropriate amount of shampoo. Lather the shampoo in your hands and gently massage it into the scalp and hair. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, repeating as needed to ensure all residue is removed.
